I can fully endorse Jason and Graeme and their team for their unique BrandQuest process that provides depth of thinking, a highly collaborative approach and ability to simplify the complex. Our company, Kelsian Group is Australia’s largest integrated multi-modal transport provider and tourism operator, with established bus operations in Australia, the USA, Singapore, London and the Channel Islands.

This growth from its historic roots as an Adelaide-based ferry service provider to Kangaroo Island with one ferry, Kelsian has become a global multi-modal transport solutions provider, employing more than 11,000 staff and publicly listed on the Australian stock exchange in the ASX200. As a global company that provided marine and land-based transport solutions, the original name of SeaLink Travel Group no longer communicated the breadth of the service offerings of our global company. We engaged the services of BrandQuest as an expert brand specialist company to help us define our brand and develop a name that was strategically sound.

I am pleased to say that the unique BrandQuest process was fully embraced to the stage where we considered the merits of literally hundreds of potential names which we distilled down to one. We presented to our Group CEO and Board with the recommendation for our new global Brand ‘Kelsian’- which happened to be an anagram of the word SeaLink. It was both unique while grounded in our history.

It was also flexible for us in any international market and to attain a global website address to match our future aspirations. The new name and subsequent Brand logo development and branding guidelines are now representative of our ASX200 listed company.

My key learning from engaging with BrandQuest was that you don’t need to make massive change to achieve massive changes.
